Lizzie McGuire famously once said – this is what dreams are made of – and the same can be said of living in Bondi. Australia’s most famous beachside suburb is as good as it gets (and then some!). This beachside paradise isn’t just a place to call home – it’s a lifestyle. Pristine beaches, incredible nightlife and an ever-changing community are all here for you.
The crown jewel of the Eastern Suburbs, Bondi offers residents a chance to experience beachside living, ample greenspaces and walking tracks to explore, and a lifestyle to lust after.
Despite the prestigious postcode, especially if you’re searching for an apartment, a beachside pad isn’t as unattainable as you might think. With a mix of modern apartments, heritage homes, and quirky townhouses, there’s a little something for everyone in Bondi, and if you’re lucky, you might even get some water views.
When it comes to shopping for essentials, your options are limitless. From farmer’s markets to prestigious produce, or a quick trip to the corner store for morning toast, Bondi residents are spoiled for choice. Held every Sunday, the Bondi Markets are arguably the best markets in Sydney, and just so happen to be walking distance from your new home. For everything else? Westfield Bondi Junction is just around the corner with everything you could ever ask for and more.
Speaking of essentials, a number of incredible cafes exist to choose from, all ready and waiting to make you their next neighbourhood regular. Bondi proper also has a vibrant food scene, with a number of award-winning restaurants and bars, effortlessly fusing the best of local produce with flavours from around the world.
Keen to explore? A home in Bondi offers ample opportunities for adventure right on your doorstep. From coastal walks, to greenspaces, ocean pools and parks, chances for adventure or some much needed nature time are only moments away.
Although Bondi doesn’t boast the extensive public transport network of the Inner West or CBD, (although some locals will protest, but why would you leave?) commuting to the heart of the city isn’t as hard as some may think. Bondi Junction train station provides direct access to Central station and the bus network in and around Bondi is frequent and easy to navigate.
During peak times, especially along the coast, parking can be tricky. For newcomers, it’s important to note that rangers are consistently out in force, but permits are available and incredibly valuable!
When it comes to education, Bondi presents a variety of options for both primary and high school education. Bondi and Bondi Beach public schools boast incredible reputations known for their strong sense of community and well-rounded curriculums. The prestigious Scots College and Kabala Independent Girl’s School are also in the area and offer independent private school education fit for the neighbourhood.
