Whether it be a lifestyle choice or a temporary plan, there’s no mistaking the renter profile is evolving, as is their list of requirements and level of expectations. As licensed real estate agents with an in depth knowledge of the rental market and the services that support and surround it, we are focusing our energy on making this life changing experience as smooth as it can be for the renter.
How we started
When you repeatedly hear complaints and negative comments about agents’ treatment of renters from the moment they open a line of enquiry about a property to subsequently trying to navigate the many different processes involved in applying and securing a rental, you want it to stop.
We simply thought it was time to lead the change.
Specialising in residential property management in in-demand areas of the Sydney rental market, we saw the shift in landscape, with many renters in their own right property investors or rentvestors as we like to call them… renting in a place they really want to live but investing in a higher yield and somewhat more affordable area of Sydney.
We have imagined how a professional renter representation service would be good for the market, to counter the traditional problems that occur for renters around the search, inspect and lease processes. We can see and feel this changing market and are here to ensure that we get outcomes for our clients that only an experienced insider can.

Terry Christianos
Terry Christianos founded Urban Renters Agent in 2021 after identifying a need to support renters through the process of securing their ideal property in what is often an overwhelming Sydney rental market. This opportunity in the market is best served by experienced agents that have both the knowledge and background in property management to be able to confidently guide renters through this process. Keeping up to date on market changes and Industry legislation are key strengths of the Urban Renters Agent Team.
Terry is in tune with each of her clients and their specific criteria. She takes a great deal of pride in partnering with them from the initial discussion of their criteria through to the handing over of keys on their Lease Commencement Day. Patience, understanding and transparency are some of Terry’s strongest attributes thus ensuring her clients are provided with sufficient information required to make an informed decision.
Over many years, Terry has maintained a broad Property Management focus, which includes the training and mentoring of successful property agents, many of whom now support the Urban Renters Agent brand. Terry is a highly experienced and respected real estate professional who is focused on providing a calm support system, connecting people with property and advocating on behalf of her clients. She has built a strong team at Urban Renters Agent, whose combined knowledge and integrity is unmatched.
Justin Dwyer
Justin joined Urban Renters Agent with more than twenty years of residential property management experience. He was drawn to the company for the aligned values, ethical approach and high standards of service. A long term Sydney resident, Justin always had a deep interest in property and thrives on finding a solution for his clients. He understands the pressures of real estate and believes everyone deserves respect throughout the process.
Important to Justin is his clients feeling supported and represented, from the initial search right through to handing over the keys. His experience in property management means he has a keen eye for function and suitability. One of Justin’s favourite parts of the process is discussing the pros and cons of each property with his clients, and of course, getting results. Justin approaches properties with an open mind and is passionate about seeing what the Sydney rental market has to offer.
Gina Brusek
Gina Brusek joined the Urban Renters team with more than ten years’ experience as a property manager. Born and bred in Sydney, Gina has always been passionate about property and loves keeping an eye on the market.
Gina loves the fact that she can apply all her knowledge and experience gained as a property manager to supporting renters in their search for their perfect property match. Her persistence and focus on achieving the best result for the client is evident in her impeccable work ethic. She is always willing to provide feedback on potential property matches while remaining focused on the cleints’ requirements and budget throughout the process.
Gina brings a personalised approach for each individual client and has great success in matching people with property. She is a valued member of the Urban Renters Agent team and we are proud to have her representing our clients.
Jenna Bradwell
Jenna is a long-term Sydney resident who, after exploring her interest in property through apartment renovations, became a qualified real estate professional in 2024.
Jenna plays an integral part of our clients’ journey providing expert commentary and video footage during property inspections. Jenna is passionate about helping people find a new home that will make them feel happy, energised and part of their community. She enjoys getting to know our clients, learning about their individual needs and identifying the pros and cons of properties.
Honesty and integrity are core values for Jenna, and key reasons why she feels aligned with the Urban Renter’s Agent ethos.
Kirsten Smallcombe
Kirsten’s lifelong passion for property inspired her transition into real estate after a successful career in marketing communications and research consulting. She completed her real estate registration in 2023 and joined the Urban Renters Agent team in 2026, bringing with her exceptional communication skills, a strong client focus and a genuine desire for helping renters.
Known for her warm, approachable nature, Kirsten takes the time to understand each client’s needs, guiding them through Brisbane’s competitive rental market with honesty, empathy and transparency. She is committed to making the rental journey as seamless and stress-free as possible, ensuring every client feels informed, supported and confident from start to finish.
Kirsten has personally lived in 10 different suburbs in Brisbane spanning both sides of the river, so offers valuable local knowledge and insight into Brisbane’s diverse communities.
